Communism

Evolution of Communism in India:
1) Influence of Western education on the middle class youth:
It made the roots for the emerging of left wing in the congress and separate socialist parties which made the left wing stronger under the leadership of Nehru and Bose..
a) Nehru's alliance with russia
b) HRA is conveted to HRSA by Bhagat singh
c) several nationalist leaders ideology.
d) Gandhiji's doctrine of rural socialism
e) M.N.Roy's radical socialism in 1920's.
2) In post liberalization era
a) Influence of leftist political parties relatively come down.
b) Infact they took the extremist form(in naxal or maoist form)
rather than on political lines.
c) Govt's strategy of trickle down approach also put it down.
Eventhough some traces of communism is left in the organised form in some states such as west bengal,it lost its relevance compared to pre-independence era due to materalistic tendencies.
