Poor Health System of India

India is country of 1.21 Billion people which accounts for 17% of world population with the status of Most Successful & Vibrant Democracy , Emerged Economy of World , High Geopolitical Standard &  Software Hub of World . But at the same time , India is the World Capital of TB , Malaria , Mental Disease , Rabies , Starvation - Malnutrition among Women & Child , Anemia  among Women , LBW Child which is a matter of grave concern as well as shame for the India .
Today , India need to extend the Frontiers of Science & Technology to improve the Health of People , especially poor , deprived & vulnerable section of society , with proper development of infrastructural Facility in all front of development . At present , the density of doctors and Nurses & Midwives are only just 0.6 per 1000 population & 1.13 per 1000 population respectively . This Poor strength of Skilled Manpower should also be addressed which is very – very low as compare to developed world . The programs of govt. of India are well . But at implementation  level ,  All Policy & Program are in very sorry state of affair .
At the same point of time , Govt. has also put attention towards the Skewed Cadre Allocation of Health Works which leads to the problem of under service for vulnerable rural population & hilly areas .
As per the 11th FYP estimates there was a disproportionately highly reliance on households pocket expenditure on health , though the total expenditure of health in India was around 5% of GDP . This reflects a Critical Imbalance in the Health Care System which stems from basic deficiencies in the public sector’s capacity to deliver basic health care .
On moral & ethical & traditional part , Positive Traditional Health care practice & local remedies need to be encouraged for example there are several local herbs and traditional way of treatment especially in tribal belt of India with the proper help of modern Science & Tech .
